Installing Fabric
Table of contents
Minecraft Launcher [
]
The first step to installing Fabric for the Minecraft Launcher is to download the Installer executable/java archive. To do so, go to https://fabricmc.net/use/installer and click on the big blue button that says “Download Installer.”
Once the installer is done downloading, please open the newly downloaded executable/.JAR. You should see something that looks like the image below. Configure the options to your liking and click the “Install” button towards the bottom of the window.
Wait for a new window to appear confirming the install before opening the Minecraft launcher to confirm that a new profile has appeared. Check the Installations tab for a new Fabric profile.
If it is not there, make a new profile with the version set to the new Fabric version added to the launcher.
MultiMC [
]
First, click “Add Instance” in the top-left corner.
In the new window, select a Minecraft version and click “OK.”
Once the new instance has been created, select “Edit Instance” on the sidebar.
After that, make sure the left sidebar is on Version and click on “Install Fabric” on the right sidebar.
Make sure that the Fabric version you want is selected and click “OK.”
Prism Launcher [
]
Just like MultiMC, the first step in getting a Fabric Instance is creating a new instance with the “Add Instance” button in the top-left corner.
After that, just select “Fabric” under Mod Loader, select the version you want, and click “OK.”
GDLauncher [
]
First, select the plus icon in the bottom-left of the window.
Then, click the “Select a version” dropdown and select Fabric > Releases > [YOUR MINECRAFT VERSION] > [YOUR FABRIC VERSION]
After that, click the arrow icon in the bottom right of the modal, name your instance, click the arrow icon one more time, and let your instance download.
ATLauncher [
]
First, select the “Vanilla Pack” tab.
After that, select Fabric under the “Loader?” option and create an instance.
CurseForge [
]
Unfortunately, the Linux version of CurseForge does not support Minecraft mods. Therefore, I cannot create a tutorial without using a VM.
